Boulder City Planning Commission Recommends Zoning Change for Proposed RV Park

The Boulder City Planning Commission (Nevada) approved a recommendation to the City Council City at last week’s meeting that would amend the city’s master plan future land use map for a proposed RV park and cabin rental facility.

According to a report, Commissioners Nate Lasoff, Lorene Krumm, and Paul Matuska voted in favor of the approval, while Ernest Biacsi and Beth Bonnar voted against it.

The 74-acre parcel for the RV park is located west of Adams Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Drive. Elite RV will lease the land from the city.

Once approved by the City Council, the land’s zoning will be changed from open lands to parks and recreation, and community commercial.

Water was among the biggest issues raised. Frank Manzullo of Elite RV told commissioners that they would use less than half of 1% of the city’s water.

“We want to be good stewards,” said Manzullo.

The approval of the plan is now in the hands of the City Council.
