AEONrv, a Reno, Nevada-based manufacturer founded in 2021, has delivered more than 100 units of its all-season recreational vehicles featuring electric-powered cabins.
The company announced the milestone as it continues to scale production of its off-grid-ready RVs, which are designed with modern materials and technology rather than the propane systems and dated construction methods common in much of the traditional RV market.
Co-founded by two technologists with backgrounds in Silicon Valley, AEONrv set out to build an RV platform focused on insulation, energy efficiency, and the ability to operate year-round without hookups.

The vehicles are equipped with an 800-watt solar array, lithium-ion batteries from Battle Born, and a composite cabin designed for four-season use. According to the company, these features are attracting buyers who want to travel beyond established campgrounds and spend more time in dispersed or remote locations.
“Passing the 100-vehicle mark shows how quickly travelers are embracing a different kind of RV experience,” said Jim Ritchie, CEO of AEONrv.

“RVs have not fundamentally changed in decades, and customers were ready for something better. We set out to build a vehicle that is comfortable, durable, and powered by modern and green technology. People want the freedom to explore remote places with confidence, and they want support from a company that listens and responds. That combination has been at the center of our growth.”
AEONrv’s business model centers on direct-to-consumer sales rather than dealer distribution. The company provides detailed walkthroughs upon delivery, mobile service options, and ongoing communication with customers.

Owner feedback is used to refine features and guide future engineering updates. As a result, the company has formed a user community that engages regularly with both staff and fellow owners.
To accommodate rising demand, AEONrv expanded into a 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Reno, where more than 70 employees support its production line.
The company was recognized as Nevada’s 2025 Manufacturing Company of the Year, an award highlighting its approach to precision fabrication, advanced manufacturing tools, and quality control.

AEONrv plans to grow its output and is evaluating new vehicle variations based on its electric-cabin platform. For outdoor hospitality operators, the company’s trajectory reflects ongoing interest among travelers in vehicles that support off-grid stays, shoulder-season trips, and destinations beyond traditional RV parks.
As more travelers rely on self-contained power systems, operators may face new opportunities to attract these visitors by offering flexible stay options, dispersed-style campsites, and amenities that complement next-generation RV technologies.
