Navarro College Launches Spring 2026 RV Technician Training Program

Navarro College has announced its Spring 2026 schedule for an intensive, two-week RV technician workforce development program in partnership with the RV Technical Institute (RVTI).

The program is designed to produce Level 1 certified technicians who are ready to work in modern service departments.

The initiative addresses a growing industry need for “shop-ready” professionals who combine technical proficiency with safety and professionalism. Dealers have increasingly emphasized that technical skills alone are insufficient for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Navarro College’s curriculum integrates RVTI Level 1 Certification with a complementary “Shop Readiness” module. This dual focus ensures that graduates are trained to both repair RV systems and navigate the workflow and customer interactions of a professional service environment.

The two-week program is structured to build foundational skills in the first week and enhance workplace readiness in the second.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, week one covers RVTI’s Level 1 curriculum, including propane systems, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.

Week Two emphasizes operational and interpersonal skills that influence service department performance. The curriculum covers risk management, service efficiency, customer retention, and digital literacy.

Risk management training includes full OSHA 10 Certification, ensuring participants understand workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.

Service efficiency modules focus on reading and writing professional repair orders.

Customer retention training also provides guidance on workplace communication and customer service.

Digital literacy instruction introduces basic computer skills needed for modern shop management software, preparing participants for technology-driven service environments.

The program fee is $1,200, covering both technical certification and onboarding-focused modules.

Registration is open for four upcoming sessions in Spring 2026. Session 1 runs Jan. 20 through Feb. 2, Session 2 from Feb. 16 to Feb. 27, Session 3 from Mar. 23 to Apr. 6, and Session 4 from Apr. 20 to May 1.

Classes operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Standard Time. Applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of each session.
