This year-round campground in St. Joseph, Missouri, is taking the adventure to the next level with new improvements, and everyone is welcome—even pets!
Last May, Marc and Christine Siemers took over ownership of AOK Campground & RV Park in St. Joseph, Missouri. Since then, the couple started making improvements to the campground and is planning to put the campground through significant changes to provide a better camping experience to guests.
According to its Facebook page, the owners renovated the office building, fixed up the pond drainage, reclaimed some of the low areas between the ponds, and took down some of the trees that were either dead or dying.
“We’re putting the AOK through some major changes,” the Facebook post reads.
Marc and Christine, along with their children Lena and Lukas, are a native German family, with international living and camping experience, as per the campground’s website.
For the past two decades, the family has lived in various countries, including Germany, France, and the United States. After living seven years in Mobile, Alabama, the family is now settled at the AOK Campground.
The campground offers incredible experiences for people of all ages, from day passes to overnight stays to long-term sites.
AOK offers year-round camping with over 50 full hookup RV sites, big rig friendly, on 23 scenic acres. Amenities include a swimming pool, restrooms with showers, laundry room, recreation areas, and a stocked private lake.
AOK Campground & RV Park is nestled just three miles north of St. Joseph, near the I-29 and Business Hwy 71 intersection.
