The Hilton Branson Convention Center (Missouri) became the epicenter of innovation and networking for the outdoor hospitality industry, hosting the Third Annual Campground Owners Expo from November 29 to December 2. 

This landmark event, orchestrated by Severson & Associates, marked a significant gathering of over 500 park operators and 200 vendors, setting the stage for a transformative experience in industry networking, education, and growth.

The Expo’s mission was clear: to provide a comprehensive platform for campground owners and industry experts, focusing on enhancing business practices, refining marketing strategies, and staying ahead of evolving industry trends. 

As reported by Modern Campground, the event was designed to facilitate learning and growth opportunities, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the bottom line of campground businesses.

Educational Sessions and Content Focus

A diverse array of educational sessions formed the core of the Expo. These sessions, led by industry experts, covered a wide range of topics crucial for campground owners. Topics included public relations management, maximizing income, critical business practices, and innovative marketing strategies. 

Each session aimed to provide practical, actionable insights, equipping attendees with knowledge to navigate the fluctuating economy and adapt to evolving market demands.

An exclusive ‘Lunch & Learn’ session was a notable highlight, offering attendees insights into creating a loyal customer base and effective marketing strategies. This session provided not only valuable information but also an engaging and entertaining experience.

Participation and Exhibitions

Reflecting the industry’s diversity, the Expo attracted a wide range of participants, from campground owners to outdoor enthusiasts. This mix ensured a rich exchange of ideas and experiences, beneficial for both industry veterans and newcomers. 

Additionally, numerous vendors and exhibitors, including broadband WiFi service provider AccessParks, AdventureKeen, AGS Guest Guides, and American Classic Toy, Inc. showcased the latest products and services in outdoor hospitality. They highlighted innovations in camping equipment, technology solutions for campground management, and recreational amenities.

Other Notable Takeaways

Alongside the educational sessions, the Expo also hosted an auction, raising a significant sum for the Gilbert Brown Foundation. This foundation supports various charitable causes throughout North America, demonstrating the event’s commitment to social responsibility.

The success of COE was made possible by sponsors, including AccessParks Broadband, Campgrounds4Sale.com, CampgroundViews.com, and Commercial Recreation Specialists. Their support underscores the collaborative nature of the industry and the importance of such events in driving growth and innovation.
