Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos has broken ground on a new project that aims to elevate the camping experience in northern Michigan. Turtle Creek RV Park, set to welcome guests in spring 2025, is under construction just north of Turtle Creek Market on M-72. This adult-oriented park is designed to offer a blend of modern amenities and eco-friendly practices.
Environmental sustainability is also a focus of the Turtle Creek RV Park project. Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos has expressed its “commitment to environmentally friendly practices,” planning to incorporate sustainable features such as energy-efficient lighting, water conservation systems, and recycling programs to minimize its ecological footprint. Such initiatives are important in the RV parks, as guests become more environmentally aware and seek out destinations that align with their values.
The company announced that the park will also feature “state-of-the-art facilities.” With 50 sites planned, Turtle Creek RV Park is designed to accommodate a variety of RV sizes and configurations, ensuring that guests with different types of recreational vehicles can find a suitable spot.
Comfort and convenience are part of the park’s design. Each site is equipped with full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for all guests.
The park’s amenities extend beyond the individual sites, with plans for a clubhouse that will serve as a gathering point for guests.
Plans also include both a swimming pool and hot tubs, providing guests with options for relaxation and recreation. These water features align with current trends in RV park development, where such amenities are becoming common as parks compete to offer more comprehensive experiences.
The park’s design also prioritizes guest privacy and comfort. Private changing areas with showers and restrooms will be available. Additionally, an outdoor entertainment space is in the plans, complete with a portable bar and guest seating area.
In addition to amenities, Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos has committed to providing high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the park. This feature will enable guests to stay connected, work remotely if needed, or simply stream their favorite entertainment during their stay.
