Rippling River Resort and Curran & Company teamed up to create the new Raging River Resort campground in Marquette, Michigan. According to organizers, a trial weekend will be held for campers to explore the grounds before the official opening on July 26. This opportunity allows guests to test out the new facilities and provide valuable feedback.
During the trial weekend, 50 campsites will be available for visitors to experience. Guests will have the chance to try out the newly-installed private bathrooms and electricity outlets, which are expected to enhance the overall camping experience.
Private bathrooms at campgrounds have been shown to improve hygiene and cleanliness, providing campers with a more comfortable stay.
One of the features of the Raging River Resort is the addition of a comprehensive trail system throughout the campgrounds. This network of paths will allow visitors to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area. A highlight of the trail system is a newly constructed bridge that spans the raging river, offering views and photo opportunities for guests.
The creation and management of the trail system have been entrusted to the Noquemanon Trail Network (NTN), an organization dedicated to developing and maintaining non-motorized trails in the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The NTN’s expertise in trail management ensures that visitors to Raging River Resort will have access to paths throughout their stay.
According to an article published by WZMQ 19 on July 18, Mark Curran, owner of Curran & Company, expressed enthusiasm for the trial weekend, emphasizing the importance of feedback on signage to ensure it meets their standards.
“We also want feedback on signage and getting some help making sure it’s just right, you know, the ultimate goal of Raging River is to have kids and families to come out and enjoy,” Curran said.
The approach of Raging River Resort underscores the importance of gathering feedback from guests to enhance private campgrounds and RV parks. By actively seeking visitor input during the trial weekend, the resort aims to refine its amenities and services, such as private bathrooms and trail systems, to better meet the needs and expectations of campers.
