Labor Day weekend festivities are already underway at Woodchip Campground in Byron Center (Michigan), with a schedule of family-friendly activities.
According to an article published by FOX 17 on August 26, The campground has organized four days of events designed to give guests a full holiday experience.
Activities include scavenger hunts, outdoor movie nights, kids’ crafts, a chalk art competition, and swimming, along with other recreation options available on the grounds.

Operators said the goal is to provide families with a mix of structured entertainment and opportunities to enjoy traditional camping.
According to its website, the campground offers RV sites, family-friendly amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to make your holiday both relaxing and memorable.
“With access to open green spaces and seasonal events, there’s no shortage of things to do. Whether you’re gathering around the campfire, exploring the woods, or simply enjoying the fresh air, every moment here is an opportunity for connection and adventure,” the campground’s website indicates.

Guests will find a variety of accommodations, including full hookup RV sites with water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electric service.
For added convenience, the campground provides clean restrooms with hot showers, a laundry room, a dump station, Wi-Fi access, and a well-stocked camp store.
With spacious grassy sites and options for both short- and long-term stays, travelers can tailor their experience to fit their plans.

The holiday weekend also promises plenty of activities for the whole family. Campers can enjoy the swimming pool, playground, and the ever-popular bouncing pillow, along with scheduled events like arts and crafts, glow rides, foam parties, and root beer floats.
Woodchip Campground is also open year-round, offering 70 winter camping sites equipped with heated water risers to ensure comfort and convenience even during the colder months.
