Holiday Camping Resort in Michigan has launched a 360-degree virtual tour on its website, introducing a new tool to attract guests and increase reservations during a slower-than-expected camping season.
The feature, now live, marks a strategic shift in how the family-oriented campground connects with both returning and prospective visitors.
The resort, licensed for 113 sites, integrated the technology in response to unpredictable travel demand and broader economic uncertainty affecting the outdoor hospitality sector.
According to a press release, Owner Joan Holz said the decision stemmed from a simple principle.

“I was told that when business slows down, the best thing you can do is increase your marketing efforts. With the economy being unpredictable and weather impacting travel, we decided this was the year to invest in new ways to showcase our park,” Holz explained.
The virtual tour was developed in partnership with Campground Views, a provider of immersive digital walk-throughs for campgrounds and RV parks across North America. Guests can explore the property online before booking, viewing individual sites and amenities through an interactive platform designed to build confidence in reservations.
Since the launch, Holiday Camping Resort has seen a measurable increase in online engagement. The campground reported a rise in booking inquiries and early reservations, accompanied by direct feedback from guests who appreciated the ability to preview the grounds in advance.
Holz described the rollout as an immediate success, noting that the tour helped answer questions potential campers often had before calling or visiting the property.
Website integration was managed by Roxi Baxley of Strait Web Solutions, a marketing professional who specializes in digital tools for the outdoor hospitality industry.

Baxley said the project illustrates how smaller independent parks can adopt innovative solutions to stay competitive.
The collaboration between Holiday Camping Resort, Campground Views, and Strait Web Solutions demonstrates a broader shift in the industry toward enhancing the digital customer experience. By meeting guests online before they arrive, operators aim to secure stronger relationships and reduce booking uncertainty.
Holz emphasized that the investment was not just about attracting new guests but also about improving transparency. “We’re proud to be on the front edge of innovation. Our goal is to make it easier for campers to choose us, and this technology does exactly that.”
The virtual tour can be accessed directly on the Holiday Camping Resort website at holidaycamping.com, offering prospective visitors an opportunity to explore the property before confirming their stay.
