Kal-Haven Outpost campground near South Haven is preparing to host its fifth annual Fall Festival, a free celebration of Halloween and the fall season for families, on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.
“We’ve got a whole lot of Halloween activities going on,” said Rob Kempton, co-owner of Kal-Haven Outpost, as reported by Wood TV on October 6. “The big one is trunk-or-treating.”
The two-day event will feature a full lineup of activities for kids and families, including pumpkin bowling, a scavenger hunt, a costume parade, and a bike parade.

Guests can also take part in a site-decorating contest, barrel rides, lawn games, and a community bonfire.
Kempton said the event is open to everyone, whether they are staying at the campground or just visiting for the day. “It’s free to attend, whether you’re camping with us or not,” he said.
According to the campground’s Facebook post, visitors will also have the chance to enjoy a hot cocoa bar and s’mores bar, with the evening concluding with a kid-friendly outdoor movie. Organizers noted that all activities are subject to change based on weather conditions.

The Fall Festival is known for its family- and pet-friendly environment, offering a relaxed outdoor atmosphere where guests can celebrate the season while enjoying all that South Haven has to offer.
