Terramor Outdoor Resort to Host Wellness Retreat in Bar Harbor This June

Terramor Outdoor Resort will host “Ember & Element: A Wellness Retreat” from June 13–16, in Bar Harbor, Maine.

The four-day event aims to reconnect guests with nature and themselves through immersive wellness programming set against the backdrop of Acadia National Park.

The retreat reflects a growing demand for wellness-centered travel in the outdoor hospitality sector. According to Kampgrounds of America’s (KOA) 2025 Camping & Outdoor Hospitality Report, 31% of new campers in 2024 identified as glampers, with many seeking emotional well-being and nature-based experiences.

As a KOA-owned brand, Terramor is positioned to meet this demand through nature-focused experiences and upscale accommodations.

“Ember & Element is more than just a retreat—it’s an invitation to pause, reset and return to the elements that fuel our inner flame,” Jenny McCullough, associate vice president of brand growth for KOA, said in a press release.

The retreat is designed to appeal to both new and experienced wellness travelers, offering curated sessions led by nationally recognized instructors.

Programming will also include yoga, mindfulness workshops, HIIT classes, stargazing, live music, and interactive sessions with an on-site beekeeper.

Guest instructors include Britney Nicole Branch, a mindfulness coach and CEO of The Boss Up Agency; Jillian Barnes, founder of Body Is A Sport; and Mirna Valerio, a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and trail running advocate. Each instructor will lead sessions designed to support mental and physical wellness through movement and reflection.

The retreat will also feature services through Terramor’s Wellness Tent, which debuted last season.

Add-on experiences include the Acadia Evergreen Ritual, cold-water immersion, and guided hikes through nearby Acadia National Park led by Terramor’s on-site outfitter.

Data from KOA’s report highlights key motivators for this type of offering: 42% of campers use travel to improve mental wellness, and 57% report water-based activities support overall well-being.
