Terramor Outdoor Resort Bar Harbor, Friends of Acadia Collaborate to Safeguard Maine’s Natural Treasures

In conjunction with the commemoration of Maine’s 203rd statehood anniversary, Terramor Outdoor Resort Bar Harbor is partnering with the local nonprofit Friends of Acadia (FOA) in an effort to preserve Maine’s natural assets.

According to a press release, the partnership will see $1 from every direct online booking at Terramor contributed to FOA, starting from March 15, 2023.

Terramor, a brand owned by Kampgrounds of America, Inc., seamlessly combines outdoor adventures with the luxury and convenience of a traditional hospitality resort.

Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of Kampgrounds of America, highlighted that the Terramor brand was founded on the principle of “connecting people to the outdoors and each other.” She further expressed pride in calling Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park home to their flagship property.

“Terramor creates a new type of experience for guests to experience the outdoors with all the comforts of a traditional hospitality resort. We are proud to call the beautiful backdrop of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park home to our flagship property. By partnering with Friends of Acadia, we are doing our part to ensure that outdoor experiences are preserved and available to all guests for generations to come,” O’Rourke added.

FOA has been a prominent figure in the field of conservation since its inception in 1986. The organization is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting stewardship of the natural beauty, ecological vitality, and cultural resources of Acadia National Park and its neighboring communities.

The partnership with Terramor will enable FOA to maintain and expand its various programs, focused on engaging the public and educating them about the significance of conservation, sustainability, and stewardship.

Lisa Horsch Clark, FOA’s vice president of Development and Donor Relations, praised Terramor for its consistent support and generosity over the past three years. Clark cited Terramor’s various contributions, including auction items, event hosting, sponsorship gifts, and providing volunteers for FOA’s annual events.

This partnership between Terramor Outdoor Resort Bar Harbor and Friends of Acadia exemplifies the importance of collaborative efforts to safeguard and celebrate Maine’s rich natural heritage, ensuring the continued enjoyment and appreciation of these invaluable resources for future generations.
