Lafayette’s Bayou Wilderness Campground Transitions to New Ownership

Bayou Wilderness RV Campground in the northeast corner of Lafayette Parish (Louisiana) has officially changed hands, marking a new chapter for the 33-acre outdoor destination. 

According to an article published by The Arcadian Advocate on October 9, the property, located at 201 Saint Clair Road, sold for $2.795 million, with the transaction recently finalized.

Tim and Katlyn Ayers of South Carolina are the new owners, according to Elifin Realty, which announced the sale. The property was sold by an LLC owned by Timmy Landry.

An LLC registered to local businessman Timmy Landry was listed as the seller. The property has a long history of local ownership, having last changed hands four years ago when Landry purchased it from the Decou family.

Bayou Wilderness RV Campground features 121 pull-through sites designed for modern RV travelers. 

Amenities include a swimming pool, pickleball and basketball courts, and a natural walking trail, features that have helped the campground attract both seasonal visitors and overnight guests.

Located just minutes from the city center, known for having more restaurants per capita than any other U.S. city, the campground provides big rig-friendly sites, pet accommodations, and easy access to local attractions, creating a full Louisiana experience for travelers.

The campground also caters to a variety of interests. Visitors can explore landscaped grounds rich with native flora and fauna, fish for local species, or enjoy recreational activities such as horseshoes and pickleball. 

Each pull-through site is equipped with 30- or 50-amp connections, accommodating a wide range of RV sizes. Fiber internet is available across the property, supporting streaming, and remote work.

Open throughout the year, the campground allows visitors to enjoy seasonal changes and outdoor recreation in all months. Fire pits at every site encourage evening gatherings, while space and scenic surroundings enhance the overall guest experience.
