LCI Industries announced that James Gero, the company’s longest-serving board member, will retire from its Board of Directors at the 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, concluding 33 years of service.
Gero served as chairman of the board from May 2014 to May 2021.
Gero played a key role in guiding LCI Industries through major strategic milestones, including the 1997 acquisition of Lippert Components, and the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2003.
His expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, executive leadership, and compensation strategy has been cited by the company as a significant asset throughout his tenure.
“Jim has been an extraordinary leader, mentor, and trusted advisor to LCI Industries for more than 30 years,” Jason Lippert, president and chief executive officer, said in a press release.
“His steady guidance helped shape the Company through periods of tremendous growth and through some of its most challenging moments. Throughout his tenure, Jim’s wisdom, perspective, and experience were invaluable to our leadership team. His impact on LCI Industries is enduring, and his leadership and counsel will be truly missed,” Lippert added.
In addition to his service at LCI Industries, Gero held leadership roles on the boards of other public companies, including serving as chairman of Orthofix International, a supplier of orthopedic devices, and Varo, an aerospace and technology company.
He also served on eight other public company boards and numerous private companies.
LCI Industries said its board and management team extend their appreciation to Gero for his long-standing contributions and wish him success in retirement.
The company also noted that its ongoing board succession and refreshment efforts will continue, including a review of board size and composition following Gero’s departure.
LCI Industries, through its Lippert subsidiary, supplies engineered components to the outdoor recreation and transportation markets. The company’s operations include both original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket products.
