Kunes Auto & RV Group announced the acquisition of Wisconsin RV World, a long-standing family-owned dealership in DeForest, Wisconsin. Established in 1945, Wisconsin RV World is the state’s oldest towable RV dealer.
The acquisition will merge Kunes’ existing Madison operations with the DeForest location under the name Kunes Wisconsin RV World. This consolidation aims to enhance Kunes’ presence in the greater Madison area while preserving the 80-year legacy of Wisconsin RV World.
“We are honored to continue the legacy that Wisconsin RV World has built over eight decades of family ownership,” Ron Baker, COO of the RV Division at Kunes Auto & RV Group, said in a press release. “Their commitment to customer service and family values perfectly aligns with our own mission and the initiatives we’ve launched to enhance the RV ownership experience.”
As part of the transition, all employees at Wisconsin RV World will remain with the dealership, ensuring consistent service for existing customers. Kunes plans to integrate its programs, further enhancing the customer experience.
“Bringing Wisconsin RV World into the Kunes family represents more than just a business acquisition,” Baker said. “It’s about preserving and building upon a legacy of excellence in the RV industry while introducing our advanced service programs and customer-first approach to more RV enthusiasts in Wisconsin.”
The DeForest dealership will adopt Kunes’ RV service initiatives, including the Camp Critical Program. This program offers “No Drop” Express RV Service, proactive warranty repairs, and QR code systems for easy RV operation guidance.
Kunes Auto & RV Group, established in 1996, has expanded to over 40 locations across the Midwest. The company’s RV division generates 24% of all RV sales in Wisconsin. Its commitment to philanthropy also includes donating 10% of its annual net profits to local charities.
