Jered Sobel to Lead Workshops on Enhancing Customer Experience at RVDA Convention/Expo

Jered Sobel, president of Sobel University, is set to lead two workshops at the upcoming RV Dealers Convention/Expo, focusing on improving customer experience and strengthening dealership performance.

The annual event will take place from Nov. 11–15, bringing together RV industry professionals from across North America for education, networking, and business development opportunities.

Sobel’s sessions will be featured under the Business Innovation (Sales & F&I) education track, where he will provide sales professionals with tools to better connect with today’s customers.

His workshops are designed to help dealership staff identify what matters most to buyers and guide them toward confident purchasing decisions.

“Today’s RV buyers have done their research. They don’t need a sales pitch. They need a professional who can guide them to the right RV for their lifestyle,” the announcement indicates.

His approach focuses on practical sales techniques that build trust and maintain control throughout the sales process.

According to a press release, the first session, Three Techniques Every Salesperson Should Use Every Time with Every Customer, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

Sobel will discuss how sales teams can elevate the customer experience by applying consistent communication and service fundamentals.

Attendees of this workshop will learn how to make customers feel heard, execute sales fundamentals relevant to all markets, and maintain control during each interaction. The session aims to equip sales professionals with techniques that promote smoother transactions and higher customer satisfaction.

Sobel’s second session, Customers are Researching RVs the Wrong Way, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. This workshop addresses the reality that most customers arrive at dealerships after extensive online research—often with incomplete or inaccurate information.

“Customers are Researching RVs the Wrong Way” will guide attendees in helping buyers identify overlooked aspects of RV ownership and product features. Sobel will share strategies for bridging gaps between customer expectations and the realities of RV performance and maintenance.

Learning outcomes for this session include understanding the differences and similarities between first-time and experienced buyers, using effective presentation techniques that instill buying confidence, and recognizing how customers view camping and maintenance responsibilities.

Both workshops will emphasize actionable, real-world skills that sales professionals can implement immediately to enhance dealership operations and improve conversion rates.

The RV Dealers Convention/Expo serves as a key industry event, offering educational sessions, networking opportunities, and a trade expo for suppliers and service providers.

It brings together dealership owners, general managers, sales teams, and F&I professionals to exchange best practices and strengthen business operations.

Organized by the RV Dealers Association (RVDA) of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, the convention remains a cornerstone event for professional development in the RV industry.
