Jellystone Park Campgrounds Gear Up for Fall and Pre-Halloween Festivities

Camp Jellystone is gearing up for the autumn season with a series of fall and pre-Halloween activities across its locations, as detailed in a recent press release from the company.

The weeks leading up to Halloween are among the most anticipated at many Jellystone Park locations. These Yogi Bear-themed parks are set to offer activities ranging from apple bobbing and scarecrow making to campsite decoration competitions. 

Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, emphasized the diverse offerings, saying: “Many locations offer haunted wagon rides, haunted trails, and spooky barns or pavilions. Some even have their own corn mazes.”

Specifically, Asheboro in North Carolina will host carnival games, pumpkin hunts, and Saturday night dance parties during four consecutive Halloween-themed weekends starting October 6. Big Prairie in Ohio is introducing an “Apple Dumpling Weekend” from September 23-25, featuring a kiddie tractor pull and an eight-acre corn maze.

Brandon in South Dakota has planned three Halloween-themed weekends from September 15, which will feature a magic pumpkin patch and a seven-acre corn maze. Bremen in Georgia and Caledonia in Wisconsin are both set to host five consecutive Halloween-themed weekends, each packed with various activities.

Carsonville in Michigan, Fredericksburg in Texas, and Horn Lake in Mississippi are all preparing for four Halloween-themed weekends starting October 6, with activities ranging from pumpkin carving to campsite decorating contests to trick-or-treating to haunted houses.

Grayling in Michigan will celebrate an “All Things Apples” weekend from September 8-10, followed by three Halloween-themed weekends. Harrisville in Pennsylvania will kick off the season with a talent show on September 8-10, leading into six consecutive Halloween-themed weekends.

Hocking Hills in Ohio is inviting motorcyclists for a “Route Riders Weekend and Boo Boo Birthday Celebration” on September 8-10, followed by four Halloween-themed weekends. Lincoln in Delaware will commence its celebrations with a “Fall Fest” from September 22-24, leading into six Halloween-themed weekends.

Lodi in California, Monroe City in Missouri, Mill Run in Pennsylvania, Pelahatchie in Mississippi, South Haven in Michigan, and Tyler in Texas have all scheduled multiple Halloween and fall-themed weekends, each offering a unique blend of activities for campers such as scarecrow decorating, a corn maze, a “Lucky Pumpkin Patch”, a Halloween dance party, and more.
