With high gas prices, inflation, and other economic challenges amid the pandemic, many people have changed the way they travel. During Modern Campground’s MC Fireside Chats, industry experts reiterated that while high gas prices did not stop RVers from traveling, some have taken shorter trips or longer campground stays to save up money.
THOR Industries, one of the world’s biggest RV manufacturers recently launched a new website feature, the Trip Calculator, which provides holidaymakers the opportunity to look and estimate how much a trip could cost them.
“THOR’s Trip Calculator is a fully customizable tool designed to help vacationers estimate the potential costs of a desired trip or vacation, as well as compare those costs between airplane travel or car travel and RV travel,” the company shared in a LinkedIn post.
The feature compares trip prices depending on the mode of transportation available. Are you taking your rig with you? Are you flying? Would it save you more money if you fly or take your RV with you? These are questions the Trip Calculator answers.
The tool is helpful for RVers and other holidaymakers seeking to save up on costly trips. It also features RV trip budget breakdowns where RVers break down the costs of trips they’ve taken, and how the prices compare if they took that same trip without their RV.
Holidaymakers can use and customize their mode of transportation, accommodations, meals, trip duration, activities, and other finances and see potential savings on the Trip Calculator.
