After five years of planning and a series of pandemic delays, a boutique campground in a 96-acre of lush forests on a former 19th-century brickyard is opening this year with all its amenities.
According to a representative, Camp Aramoni will be reopening its doors on April 29.
Camp Aramoni’s luxury camping combines exciting camping experiences with the best hotel amenities.
The historic site sits just outside Starved Rock, where campers can choose from 11 safari-style tents.
Each safari-style tent features hardwood floors, en-suite bathrooms, king-size beds, a mini-fridge and air conditioning, and a personal campfire.
According to its Facebook page, Camp Aramoni, located at 818 N 2219 Rd Tonica, IL 61370, redefines travel in the Midwest.
“Camp Aramoni is bringing world-class hospitality to the great outdoors. Our boutique campground is the first of its kind in Illinois. It offers fully immersive experiences, including lavish safari-style tents, inclusive meals, and on-site activities in our lush forests along the Vermillion River. Our Grand Opening Season is finally here, and we are now accepting reservations for April – November 2022!” the website reads.
Camp Aramoni invites the public to its grand opening celebration from noon until three p.m. on May 15.
