IHM Outdoors Strengthens Leadership Team with Promotion of Hayden Schlosser

IHM Outdoors, the outdoor and resort-focused division of Island Hospitality Management, announced the promotion of Hayden Schlosser to divisional vice president, outdoors division, as the company continues expanding its national portfolio.

In his new role, Schlosser will oversee the operational success of IHM Outdoors’ portfolio, which now includes 15 properties across six states, and manage several new positions created during the group’s recent expansion.

According to a press release, Gregg Forde, president and chief operating officer of Island Hospitality Management, said Schlosser’s promotion reflects his consistent performance and leadership since joining the company more than a decade ago.

“As we continue to pursue our aggressive expansion plans in the outdoor space, Hayden has proven himself an invaluable member of our team since he joined us in 2013 as a front desk associate at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Carlsbad, California, and the perfect candidate to help lead that growth,” Forde said.

Forde added that Schlosser’s career progression within the company demonstrates his capacity for leadership, citing his experience in multiple general manager positions and his previous role as vice president of operations in the outdoor hospitality division.

“His quick success and outstanding results have helped grow this segment of our business to the 15 parks we currently have under management,” Forde said.

Under Schlosser’s operational leadership, IHM Outdoors has expanded its portfolio significantly, adding nine new properties to its initial five locations. The newly added destinations include Moab, Garden City and Salt Lake City, Utah; Paso Robles, California; Granby, Colorado; and Association Island, New York.

Throughout his career, Schlosser has held several property-level executive roles that have prepared him for his new position. His experience includes serving as general manager of the Residence Inn, Mountain View, where he oversaw the property’s expansion from 112 to 144 rooms.

He also managed the Residence Inn, Silicon Valley II, and Residence Inn, San Diego/Mission Valley—two of the highest revenue-producing hotels in Island Hospitality’s portfolio—and served as dual general manager for the Courtyard and Moxy in San Diego’s Gaslamp District.

“Hayden is undeniably best-in-class when it comes to facing challenges and new experiences head on,” said Drew Allison, executive vice president, IHM Outdoors. “He is not only solution-oriented, but he empowers his team and has led the day-to-day outdoor portfolio operations since its inception.”

Allison added that IHM Outdoors is positioned for continued growth, with strong leadership and strategic expansion at the forefront. “IHM Outdoors remains on track to double its top line revenue within the next three years, making it one of the largest outdoor and resort operators in the world,” he said.

“Our goal is to grow the portfolio by expanding our current partnerships while creating new ones, and Hayden in his role will be integral to that success,” Allison added.

Headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, IHM Outdoors leverages Island Hospitality Management’s 35-year legacy of hospitality excellence to deliver upscale outdoor lodging experiences.

Its portfolio includes glamping sites, vacation rentals, and family-friendly RV resorts designed to combine comfort, quality, and operational efficiency.
