Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) has announced that Green River KOA Journey has been recognized through the company’s World-Class Guest Service program, a designation awarded to campgrounds that achieve high guest satisfaction scores across the KOA network.
The recognition is based on performance in 2025 and is reserved for KOA campgrounds that earned a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70 or higher during the year. Green River KOA Journey met that benchmark, placing it among the brand’s top-performing locations nationwide.
NPS is a widely used metric that measures how likely guests are to recommend a business to others and is commonly viewed as an indicator of customer loyalty and overall experience.
According to KOA, the World-Class Guest Service program is designed to highlight consistent service delivery across its system of independently owned and operated campgrounds. In 2025, the company reported a system-wide NPS of 71, reflecting overall guest sentiment across its network in North America.
“World-class service is built through consistency, care, and a genuine commitment to every guest,” Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of KOA, said in a press release. “The team at Green River KOA Journey has earned this recognition by creating experiences that make guests feel welcome, valued, and excited to return—the kind of hospitality that turns a great stay into a lasting memory.”
KOA stated that the recognition will be reflected both online and onsite at Green River KOA Journey, where the campground will display a World-Class Guest Service badge. The company noted that the program is part of its broader strategy to reinforce brand standards and support franchisees in maintaining service benchmarks.
For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, the announcement underscores the role of standardized guest feedback systems in benchmarking performance. Tracking NPS and similar satisfaction metrics can provide operators with actionable insights into service gaps, staff performance, and repeat visitation trends.
As competition among campgrounds, RV parks, and glamping resorts continues to intensify, third-party validation or brand-led recognition programs may also serve as marketing tools that support rate positioning and customer retention strategies.
Green River KOA Journey operates as part of KOA’s Journey brand segment, which typically focuses on convenient overnight stays and accessible amenities for road travelers.
