Grech RV, a Southern California-based manufacturer known for its luxury camper vans, has announced that its 2026 model year lineup will feature a fully integrated off-grid energy system as standard.
According to an article by Robb Report, the system, called Grech Power, is designed to give travelers greater flexibility and independence while camping away from traditional power sources.
At the center of the Grech Power system is a Lithionics Battery-sourced 51-volt lithium-ion battery module with a 165-Ah capacity, allowing for up to 14 hours of off-grid operation.
The system includes a Victron smart inverter, roof-mounted solar panels, and a Garmin house control interface accessible via mobile app.
When the battery runs low, the system can recharge fully after a three-hour drive using a Bluetooth-enabled ARCO Zeus auxiliary alternator.
According to A.J. Thurber, Grech RV’s vice president, the company developed the proprietary system after early supply chain challenges limited access to generators.
“They’ll go to wineries and breweries and farms and things like that—nontraditional campgrounds—because you don’t need to plug into shore power,” Thurber said.
The company also introduced Grech Connect, a Wi-Fi-based remote support feature that allows troubleshooting directly from its headquarters.
Both Grech Power and Grech Connect are standard across all three 2026 models—the Turismo, Terreno, and Strada—each built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.
Grech RV’s models are equipped with a kitchenette, a bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a power sofa that converts into a bed.
The Turismo measures 19 feet, the Terreno 22 feet, and the Strada 24 feet. Prices start at $244,900 for the Turismo, $277,900 for the Terreno, and $279,900 for the Strada.
Founded more than 40 years ago as Grech Motors, the company originally specialized in limousines and shuttle buses before expanding into camper vans in 2020.
Grech RV continues to rely on the Sprinter platform for its durability and performance, now offering both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The addition of Grech Power underscores how energy innovation is reshaping the RV industry, enabling travelers to stay longer in remote locations.
