Grand Design RV is entering the motorized RV market with the introduction of its first motorized vehicle, the Lineage Class C motorhome, expected to launch in July. This expansion is a development for the company, known for its towable RVs.
The name “Lineage” was chosen to reflect the brand’s evolution and heritage, symbolizing a continuation of Grand Design’s commitment to quality and customer focus. The decision to create the Lineage Class C motorhome comes in response to growing inquiries from dealers and customers about motorized options.
“The Lineage name recognizes that the brand is an extension of our strong Grand Design foundation while simultaneously representing what is passed forward over time. It recognizes our relentless commitment to being both dealer-centric and customer-focused,” Don Clark, president and CEO of Grand Design RV, said in a press release.
The manufacturing of the Lineage Class C and other motorized products will occur at Grand Design’s established facilities in Middlebury, Indiana. This strategic use of existing infrastructure is intended to maintain the company’s standards of quality in the new product line.
“We are looking forward to bringing the quality, innovation, and service we are known for in the towable market over to a brand-new product and segment. Lineage Class C will be our first foray into motorized but there will be much more to follow,” Clark added.
The motorized division will be led by Tommy Hall, who has been promoted from his previous role as product manager for the Solitude fifth wheel line. Mike Hums and Stephan Dolzan will join him as product managers for the Lineage brand, ensuring a strong leadership team is in place.
“Increasingly, our customers and dealers have come to us asking about our potential entry into the motorized segment, so it is with great excitement that we can share the news of the first product in the Lineage brand. Until now, we have not reached an audience that prefers motorized recreational vehicles,” Tommy Hall, general manager for Grand Design RV’s motorized division, said.
Further details on the Lineage Class C motorhome, including specific features and amenities, will be released in the coming months. Grand Design has encouraged those interested in the latest updates to sign up for an exclusive email list available on their website.
