Go RVing has launched its Ultimate RV Tailgate campaign, a fall marketing initiative designed to showcase the benefits of RV travel during college football season.
The campaign, which began August 30, coincides with Labor Day weekend, when an estimated 7.4 million Americans were expected to take an RV trip.
The program features four experiential pop-up events at college football games across the country. Each stop is intended to engage fans, highlight RV travel’s convenience for game-day experiences, and build awareness of the lifestyle among a national audience.
As part of the campaign, Go RVing is offering fans a chance to win a comprehensive tailgating prize package. The giveaway is open for entry through December 8, and is designed to reinforce the brand’s message that RVing offers comfort, flexibility, and value for travelers.
The winner of the Ultimate RV Tailgate sweepstakes will receive a package valued at several thousand dollars. It includes a $2,000 Ticketmaster gift card for up to four tickets to a 2026 sporting event of choice, a $2,500 RV rental gift card, a $1,000 Fanatics gift card for team gear, and a $1,500 Visa gift card for expenses such as fuel and food. Additional branded tailgate merchandise is also part of the prize.
“We’re proud to elevate the college football tailgating experience by showcasing how RV travel brings fans closer to the action—comfortably, affordably, and with unmatched convenience,” Karen Redfern, chief marketing officer for Go RVing, said in a News and Insights report of RVIA.
“Whether you’re parked at the end zone or in the heart of the lot, the journey and the celebration starts just steps from your RV door,” Redfern added.
The winner will be announced December 19, shortly after college football’s championship game in Indianapolis on December 6. The timeline is structured to keep the promotion active throughout the full regular season.
In addition to the sweepstakes, Go RVing’s four live activations are aimed at creating high-visibility experiences for fans. These will feature trivia contests, giveaways, themed photo opportunities, and pre-game broadcasts.
The pop-up events are scheduled to take place at major matchups. Stops include Wisconsin vs. Michigan on October 4 in Ann Arbor, Florida vs. Georgia on November 1 in Jacksonville, Florida vs. Ole Miss on November 15 in Oxford, and the season-ending championship game in Indianapolis on December 6.
Go RVing has positioned the campaign to reach both core RV travelers and casual football fans who may not yet consider RVing. The activations highlight how the vehicles can serve as both transportation and a game-day hub, appealing to consumers interested in convenience and flexibility.
