Go RVing, the national marketing campaign for the RV industry, has launched its inaugural “Explore Camping” Sponsorship Program, an initiative aimed at expanding access to camping and RVing through partnerships with organizations that serve diverse communities and emerging audiences.
The program was announced as part of Go RVing’s broader efforts to introduce new families to the RV lifestyle and foster long-term engagement with the outdoors.
In its first year, the initiative includes $25,000 sponsorships to three organizations: the Mid-Western Region of Jack and Jill of America, Bewilder, and Outward Bound.
Each partner will host immersive RV camping experiences in summer and early fall 2025 designed to connect youth and families to nature in meaningful and educational ways.
Outward Bound will facilitate a two-day introductory camping experience in Denver, Colorado, tailored to both children and adults.
The Mid-Western Region of Jack and Jill of America will coordinate a weekend retreat bringing together families and teens for an RV-focused outdoor experience.
In Los Angeles, Bewilder will offer a hands-on, educational RV adventure for young urban families.
The Explore Camping program supports Go RVing’s long-term goal of encouraging outdoor exploration, promoting family connectivity, and improving well-being through RV travel. These experiences are structured to remove barriers to entry while highlighting the accessibility and appeal of RVing to first-time campers and underrepresented communities.
“Throughout Go RVing’s 30 years, we have helped millions of people discover the joys of RVing,” Craig Kirby, president & CEO of the RV Industry Association (RVIA), said in a News and Insights report of RVIA.
“These sponsorships continue these efforts by partnering with organizations who are welcoming new communities into the outdoors and showing them everything we love about the RV lifestyle: fun, freedom, wellbeing, and connection with nature,” Kirby added.
The new program responds to ongoing industry research that emphasizes the importance of early exposure to outdoor experiences.
“Research shows that adults who camped as kids will return to the outdoors to recreate those impactful memories with their children,” said Karen Redfern, chief marketing officer of RVIA and Go RVing.
“Explore Camping is about partnering with organizations that are listening, learning, and creating space for new communities to discover the positive power of the outdoors,” Redfern added.
To manage the sponsorship process and organizational partnerships, Go RVing selected HireCultures as the sponsorship administrator.
