General RV Center has named former Lazydays RV Chief Operations Officer Amber Dillard as a sales director on its corporate sales team, a move the company said will support strategic sales and market share initiatives across its national dealership network.
Dillard began the role on December 9 and will be based at the company’s Dover Supercenter in Florida.
Dillard previously served as chief operations officer at Lazydays RV, where she spent 13 years overseeing functions that included accounting, supply chain, vehicle purchasing, inventory management and dealership operations.
Her background spans both business operations and financial oversight within the recreational vehicle sector.
In 2017, Dillard was recognized by the RV Industry Association (RVIA) as part of the inaugural 40 Under 40 Award class, acknowledging her contributions and leadership within the industry.
Her experience in cross-functional management was cited by General RV as a key factor in her selection.
“Amber’s broad range of experience in both the operational and financial side of the RV industry gives her a unique perspective and skill set that is a perfect complement to help us achieve our goals moving forward,” said Chris Davis, president of General RV Center.
Before entering the RV industry, Dillard worked in public and non-profit accounting with a concentration in internal audit. Her academic background includes degrees in Accounting from Florida State University in Tallahassee and the University of South Florida in Tampa.
In her new position, Dillard will contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies designed to support General RV’s long-term market objectives. The company underscored her experience as an asset to its corporate sales functions.
“General RV has an incredible foundation built on family values, industry leadership and a clear vision for growth,” said Dillard. “I’m excited to join a team that’s laser-focused on elevating the customer experience and expanding our market presence nationwide. I look forward to helping drive that momentum and building on the success already underway.”
General RV owns and operates 23 Supercenters across 10 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah and Virginia. Each location offers RV sales, service, parts and financing.
