GEN-Y Hitch has appointed Tyler Brown as its new director of purchasing, marking a key step in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its supply chain operations.
The announcement was made as part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance efficiency and support long-term growth.
GEN-Y Hitch manufactures towing products for commercial, industrial, and recreational use. Brown’s appointment is aimed at improving the company’s purchasing and sourcing functions as demand for GEN-Y’s American-made products continues to grow.
The company utilizes its patented TORSION-FLEX Technology to create the smoothest ride on the market. Designed for a wide range of applications—from bumper pull trailers to gooseneck and 5th wheel campers—each hitch is engineered to enhance ride quality, reduce shock transfer, and improve overall towing performance.
Brown brings years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, optimizing vendor partnerships, and supporting supply chain strategy.
“The addition of Tyler Brown as Director of Purchasing is another major milestone for the growth of GEN-Y,” Adam Yoder, operations manager at GEN-Y Hitch, said, as reported by NATDA.
“Tyler’s past experiences, his vast knowledge, and commitment to the culture and values that GEN-Y holds, are great additions to our strong team in purchasing/sourcing as well as our leadership team,” Yoder added.
Prior to joining GEN-Y Hitch, Brown held various leadership roles in the procurement sector, where he focused on driving operational efficiency and aligning sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
As the company continues expanding its product offerings and market reach, Brown’s expertise is expected to help navigate ongoing supply chain challenges and ensure timely access to key materials and components.
“I’m honored to join GEN-Y as the Director of Purchasing,” said Brown. “I look forward to contributing to the strategic growth of the organization by driving value, efficiency, and innovation in our procurement practices. Excited for the journey ahead and the opportunity to collaborate with our talented team!”
