Four Points RV Resorts, LLC is making significant strides in the expansion of its already robust portfolio of outdoor vacation spots. The company recently confirmed the addition of Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, a popular family destination nestled in the natural beauty of Bloomington, Indiana.
Four Points, launched by outdoor enthusiasts Sean Vidrine and Matt Van Der Molen in 2020, is now the proud proprietor of four Jellystone Park franchises. The company also holds control over two independent RV resorts. Four Points has announced ambitious plans to incorporate four more campgrounds or RV resorts into its growing portfolio within the next two years.
The Bloomington Jellystone Park, nestled on a sprawling 65-acre plot, boasts an impressive array of over 140 campsites and cabins. A paradise for family-oriented outdoor activities, the park teems with a diverse range of attractions. These include two swimming pools, a splash ground, miniature golf, and laser tag. In addition, the site offers delightful interactions with the iconic Yogi Bear characters, bringing beloved childhood cartoons to life.
The acquisition was backed by outside private equity funding, underscoring the significant growth and profitability potential seen in this sector.
The company’s CEO, Sean Vidrine, is optimistic about the strategic fit of the new acquisition. “It’s near our other Midwest properties and it has a lot of space for expansion,” he enthused.
A seasoned investor with a rich history in mobile home properties, Vidrine believes that campgrounds and RV resorts have the potential to offer superior returns and robust growth, surpassing multi-family and other types of real estate investments.
As part of its growth strategy, Four Points plans to invigorate the Bloomington location with new accommodations, attractions, and activities. These plans encompass the addition of 85 new RV sites and cabins, the expansion of water features including an enlarged splash pad, the launch of a boat rental program, and a comprehensive food and beverage program.
Four Points’ Chief Technology and Marketing Officer, Matt Van Der Molen, echoed Vidrine’s sentiments.
With a 25-year stint in the campground industry as an owner and operator, Van Der Molen brings a wealth of experience to the company. Today’s families want a true resort experience that goes beyond traditional camping,” he said.
In line with this insight, Four Points aims to acquire properties endowed with high-quality amenities, preferably with room for expansion. “Four Points’ goal is to deliver a truly exceptional outdoor experience at every one of our locations,” Van Der Molen stated.
This strategy, combined with the ongoing boom in the outdoor leisure industry, paints a vibrant picture for the future of Four Points RV Resorts, underpinning the company’s ambition to deliver outstanding outdoor experiences.
