Madison County celebrated the grand opening of The Station RV Resort, marking a significant milestone for owner Jamie Coleman after two years of preparation. The event, hosted by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, September 6, showcased the newest addition to the area’s hospitality sector.
Coleman, who also owns a resort in North Carolina, developed the concept for The Station RV Resort during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to an article published by Greene Publishing, he invested time in researching and visiting other RV parks to determine the ideal amenities for his new venture.
Located at 343 SE Balboa Dr. in Madison, the resort offers a range of amenities, including wheelchair-accessible washrooms, a laundry room, gym, and pool. Recreational options include bocce ball courts, a tennis and pickleball court, a dog park, and cornhole facilities.
Additional features like The Filling Station, a fire pit area, and a dog wash station cater to diverse guest preferences.
The Station RV Resort also provides various accommodation options, including pull-through sites, overnight spots, and tent sites. Each RV site is equipped with a concrete pad, electrical service options, WiFi connectivity, and a concrete patio. Full hookups and valet trash services are also available to enhance guest convenience.
The RV sites feature 20/30/50 amp service and full hookups. Back-in sites measure 30 feet wide by 70 feet long, while pull-through sites offer 30 feet wide by 100 feet long service bays. Each site includes a 12-foot wide by 50-foot long concrete pad and an attached 10×12 patio.
Implementing a pricing structure designed to attract long-term guests, the resort particularly targets the snowbird market. They currently offer a monthly rate that includes utilities and access to all amenities.
