The RV Technical Institute is in Tampa this week to kick off its year of recruitment at the 2022 Florida RV SuperShow. The show is offering informative seminars, daily entertainment, as well as the latest RV accessories and products.

“The SuperShow presents an excellent opportunity for the RV Technical Institute to get in front of industry members and consumers alike,” said RV Technical institute Direct of Recruitment Tracy Angelmeyer. “With the ‘great resignation,’ we know there are a lot of people looking for new career opportunities, and for those who are also interested in RVing, a career switch into the booming RV technician field is an ideal fit.”

With the rush of consumers to dealer showrooms for RVs across the nation no sign of slowing, the RV Technical Institute is working on training and recruiting over 1,000 new RV techs outside the industry this year.

RVs have surged in popularity, meaning the need for technicians has also increased,” said RV Technical Institute Executive Director Curt Hemmeler. “The Tampa show is the ideal location for us to be kicking off our year of recruitment. This event will give our team a chance to connect with people who are interested in the RV technician field and allow us to bring more techs into the industry.”

The RV Technical Institute is doubling its recruitment efforts by launching a consumer marketing campaign for those seeking jobs in the RV technician field. RVTI is also working with organizations outside the field, including trade schools, high schools, and even government training programs.

While millions of Americans rethink their careers during the pandemic and leave their work, the RV industry can provide high-quality pay and training without the burden of huge debt that is associated with a typical four or even a two-year college degree.
