Lake Rosalie Park Campground in Lake Wales, Florida, is preparing to reopen to the public on Friday, Oct. 17, following a temporary closure for maintenance and operational updates.
The return of camping operations will once again make the popular Polk County destination available to visitors seeking lakeside recreation and overnight stays.
Located at 2925 Rosalie Lake Road, the campground offers both RV and tent camping options, along with amenities designed for comfort and convenience.
Polk County Parks & Recreation announced that online reservations will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 14, for stays beginning Oct. 17, with check-ins starting at noon.
According to an article published by Polk County on October 7, same-day reservations will also resume on Oct. 17, allowing guests flexibility when planning visits.
Sites can be reserved online up to one year in advance, while visitors who prefer to pay on arrival may do so with cash or check, depending on campsite availability.
The campground has been closed for camping until further notice leading up to the reopening date.
Lake Rosalie Park and Campground is a favored destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The campground includes 20 RV sites and six primitive camping sites. RV hookups offer 50-, 30-, and 20-amp electrical service with water connections available.
The park’s boat ramp, which remains open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., provides access to Lake Rosalie’s scenic waters.
A dump station is also located on-site for guest use.
Restrooms with flush toilets and shower facilities are available to campers, and picnic tables are distributed throughout the park to accommodate families and small groups.
Parks and Recreation operates five campgrounds across Polk County, offering both primitive and powered campsites for visitors seeking an outdoor getaway.
