General RV Expands Florida Presence with New Fort Pierce Supercenter

General RV Center, America’s largest family-owned dealership, marked the grand opening of its new Fort Pierce Supercenter on Monday, Oct. 21, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company leadership, employees, RV manufacturer representatives, and members of the Treasure Coast community.

The event celebrated the dealership’s continued expansion in Florida and its long-term commitment to serving the state’s growing RV market. The new Supercenter, located off Interstate 95, was part of a three-store acquisition from Lazydays RV completed earlier this year.

“I really appreciate all of the people that had faith in us and put in the time and energy because without you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do here,” General RV CEO and third-generation owner Loren Baidas said in a press release.

General RV first entered Fort Pierce in late 2023 with a smaller facility but has since tripled its presence with the new 50,000-square-foot building situated on 20 acres.

The Supercenter features 20 service bays, a full-body paint booth, and an inventory of nearly 400 new and used RVs, including travel trailers, motorhomes, camper vans, destination trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers.

Baidas was joined at the event by General RV Chairman Rob Baidas and President Chris Davis. Together, the leadership team expressed gratitude to employees, especially those who remained from Lazydays following the acquisition, and to the local community for its support.

The CEO also shared that the company has plans for further investment in the Fort Pierce location. “This is only the beginning for this store,” Baidas said. “We plan on being here a long, long time.”

The Fort Pierce facility joins six other General RV Supercenters across Florida, including locations in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Winter Garden.

General RV’s Florida operations reflect the company’s broader national presence. The dealership currently owns and operates 23 Supercenters across 10 states, including Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Virginia.

Founded in Michigan in 1962, General RV has grown from a single-family business into one of the most recognized names in the RV retail industry.
