Fort De Soto Campground in Florida’s Pinellas County is set to reopen to the public on Wednesday, a few days after Hurricane Ian left the area with no power.
In a Facebook post during the weekend, the Pinellas County Government said that the campground will remain closed until power is restored to the area.
The Gulf Pier concession and restroom building will also be reopened along the campground on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Fort De Soto Park reopened earlier this morning. Other parks in the county have also opened again, with many play areas ready to welcome young visitors.
Preserves, boat ramps, and beach access parks also reopened last week.
Some offices with back-to-normal operations include departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, and Supervisor of Elections.
