Florida’s Tourism Pulse: GC23 Conference Offers Insights, Networking, and Growth

The annual Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism (GC23) is fast approaching, and campground and RV park operators in Florida are encouraged to mark their calendars for this pivotal event. Scheduled from September 6-8 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, the conference promises to be a hub of valuable insights, networking opportunities, and potential business growth.

In a recent newsletter sent by the Florida RV and Campground Association (FRVCA), the association highlighted the importance of the early bird registration deadline on August 2.

Those who register by this date can avail of the early bird rate, with additional discounts available for multiple registrations from the same organization. Specifically, attendees can save $50 on the third, fourth, and subsequent registrations.

“Don’t miss the chance to attend the annual Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism—the ultimate gathering for the Florida tourism industry,” the newsletter reads.

The conference, which expects to host nearly 1,000 tourism professionals, travel experts, advertising agencies, and state leaders, is a golden opportunity for campground and RV park owners to gain insights into the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Florida tourism industry.

The list of speakers at GC23 features industry experts such as Dana Young, president and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA; Dr. Youcheng Wang, dean of UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management; and Sara Riis-Carstensen, who played a pivotal role in LEGO’s global brand strategy. They, among others, will be sharing their expertise on various topics pertinent to the tourism industry.

For a detailed list of speakers and their profiles, attendees can visit the official conference website.

The conference’s agenda is packed with sessions that cater to the diverse needs of the tourism sector.

Some of the highlighted sessions include “Building a Brand, Brick by Brick: The Future of Power Brands” by Sara Riis-Carstensen, “Navigator 2023: Industry Powered by Experiences” which delves into the importance of immersive experiences for travelers, and “Composing Your World” by violinist Kai Kight, which aims to inspire attendees to bring their unique ideas forward. These sessions aim to equip attendees with the latest trends, strategies, and best practices to navigate the ever-evolving tourism landscape.

For campground and RV park owners and operators, attending GC23 is an investment in knowledge, networking, and business growth.
