Florida & Alabama RV Park Convention to Feature Research, Insurance, and Marketing Insights

The 2025 Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association Outdoor Hospitality Convention and Expo begins today at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, bringing together owners, operators, and industry professionals for the Southeast’s largest event of its kind.

The convention runs through May 9 and offers educational sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the outdoor hospitality industry.

Today’s schedule opens at 8 a.m. with registration, alongside the second day of the Certified Pool Operator class, which concludes with a certification exam. The class provides essential training on pool safety and operations, a key responsibility for many campground and RV park operators.

At 9 a.m., industry experts Sandy Ellingson and Scott Bahr will lead the Strategy & Research Mini Summit, offering insights into the evolving outdoor travel landscape.

“This session is designed for RV park and campground owners and industry professionals seeking a deeper understanding of key challenges, emerging opportunities and the evolving landscape of outdoor travel,” organizers state.

At 10 a.m., attendees participate in “The Cornerstone of Financial Security: Land Trusts Estate Planning” with Mr. Land Trust. The session explores asset protection strategies, emphasizing the role of privacy in creating a secure financial future and reducing real estate investment costs.

Lunch is scheduled from noon to 1:15 p.m., allowing participants to take a break or network informally.

The afternoon program resumes at 1:30 p.m. with the Opening General Session, where Austin Gaines of Starke Agency presents an RV park insurance update and leads a panel discussion.

“During this important session, we will discuss the current state of the insurance market in Florida & Alabama as well as the findings from a recent study conducted by insurance professionals and actuaries on the captive insurance market,” the conference states.

The insurance session will also address rising costs, a top concern for campground and RV park owners.

At 3:30 p.m., Ben Wolf will deliver the Opening Keynote Session, “How to Grow Your Business by Creating & Marketing Experiential Hospitality Utilizing Unique Stays.”
