The Florida and Alabama RV Park & Campground Association recognized campgrounds with its 2026 Best Park Award and named App My Community as its Best Supplier during the association’s Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo in Orlando.
The awards were presented April 30 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and highlighted RV parks and suppliers recognized for operational performance, guest satisfaction, and industry involvement.
The Best Park Award recipients for 2026 were Keystone Heights RV Resort in Keystone Heights, Nature’s Resort in Homosassa, Southern Aire RV Resort in Thonotosassa, Sugarloaf Key RV Resort & Cottages in Summerland Key, and The Waves Signature RV Resort in Naples.
Keystone Heights RV Resort features 600 RV sites along with furnished cottages and covered wagons. Amenities include two 2,700-square-foot solar-heated swimming pools and spas, a sauna, pickleball courts, cornhole and shuffleboard courts, miniature golf, and a Top Tracer golf driving range.
Nature’s Resort in Homosassa also includes 493 full-hookup RV sites and 25 cabin rentals, including one mobile home. Located along the Halls River, the property provides access to the Gulf of Mexico and offers boating, fishing, paddling, and other outdoor activities.
Southern Aire RV Resort in Thonotosassa operates 432 sites and includes a heated pool and spa, a lake, and a dog park. The resort is also installing two cornhole pads.
Sugarloaf Key RV Resort & Cottages in Summerland Key features a swimming pool designed to be heated or chilled depending on seasonal conditions. The property also offers rentals for kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and fishing equipment, in addition to a private beach.
The Waves Signature RV Resort in Naples includes 383 sites and amenities such as a clubhouse, pool and spa, landscaped gathering areas, pickleball courts, bocce and pétanque courts, a putting green, dog parks, and a tiki lounge with fire pits.
According to the association, Best Park Award recipients are selected based on operational standards, guest reviews and ratings, facility quality, and ongoing efforts to improve guest experiences. The association also said award winners demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the organization.
The association’s 2026 Best Supplier Award went to App My Community, which provides mobile applications for RV parks, campgrounds, chambers of commerce, and communities.
The Best Supplier Award recipients must demonstrate long-term support for the industry and association, provide quality products or services, and contribute innovation and operational efficiency for RV park owners and operators.
