The best of the best in the outdoor hospitality industry will be recognized next month at the 2022 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE) in Florida, organized by The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (National ARVC).
Winners for the 2022 Awards of Excellence will be announced at the special luncheon on November 9 in Orlando, Florida.
One of the honors, the Park of the Year Award is National ARVC’s most prestigious campground award given to member parks that deliver an extraordinary guest experience as a result of all-around excellence in operations, professionalism, marketing, customer service, and industry involvement.
The award is given in four categories: small (1-100 sites), medium (101-250 sites), large (251-499 sites) and mega (500+ sites).
This year’s National ARVC Park of the Year finalists for the small park category are:
- Anvil Campground (Williamsburg, VA)
- Elwha RV Park & Campground (Port Angeles, WA)
- Oceanside RV Resort & Campground (Coos Bay, OR)
- Poche’s RV Park (Breaux Bridge, LA)
- Whispering Pines RV Park (Cle Elum, WA).
Parks nominated for the medium park category are:
- Papoose Pond Family Campground & Cabins (Waterford, ME)
- The Retreat RV & Camping Resort (Huffman, TX)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort of Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort of South Jersey (Williamstown, NJ)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort of Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX)
Meanwhile, National ARVC Park of the Year finalists for large campgrounds include:
- Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country (New Braunfels, TX)
- Sun Outdoors Rocky Mountains (Granby, CO)
- Verde Ranch RV Resort (Camp Verde, AZ)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort (Caledonia, WI)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Guadalupe River (Kerrville, TX)
The mega park category finalists for the Park of the Year Award are:
- Cajun Palms RV Resort (Henderson, LA)
- Carolina Pines RV Resort (Conway, SC)
- Golden Village Palms RV Resort (Hemet, CA)
- Lakewood Camping Resort (Myrtle Beach, SC)
- Ocean Lakes Family Campground (Myrtle Beach, SC)
The 2022 Awards of Excellence will also name parks that have the chance to bag the Plan-It Green Friendly Parks of the Year Awards.
These awards are given to National ARVC member parks that exemplify environmentally-friendly practices across all areas of park operations. Awards are given in two categories: small/medium and large/mega.
This year’s Plan-It Green Friendly Park of the Year finalists are Cuervo Mountain RV Park and Horse Hotel (Stanley, NM) and Elwha RV Park & Campground (Port Angeles, WA) for small/medium parks.
For large/mega parks, finalists are Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve (Santee, CA), Sun Retreats Avalon (Cape May Court House, NJ), and The Glades Resort (Moore Haven, FL).
Each year, the association acknowledges an industry supplier that exemplifies excellence in product solutions, innovation, customer service, and support.
For 2022, Supplier of the Year Award finalists are Camplife, Campspot, NewBook, and Yale Realty & Capital Advisors.
