California-based startup Evotrex has emerged from stealth mode, announcing $16 million in Pre-A funding to support its goal of redefining off-grid outdoor travel.
According to a press release, the company aims to move beyond electric mobility into what it describes as “a new era that’s intelligent and enjoyable without compromise.”
The round was led by Xstar Capital, with participation from Unity Ventures, Kylinhall Partners, Vision Plus Capital, and the founders of Anker Innovations.
The funding will help expand Evotrex’s engineering and product teams and advance commercialization of its first product — the world’s first power-generating RV trailer, set to debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas on January 6.
“Evotrex exists to transform how people experience the outdoors,” said Alex Xiao, CEO and founder of Evotrex.
“Our products are designed so adventurers don’t have to worry about electricity or range, no matter where their travels take them, even to the most remote locations. Whether you’re in the desert or deep in the mountains, being off the grid shouldn’t be uncomfortable,” Alex added.
The company’s trailer generates its own power, reducing reliance on traditional camping infrastructure.
It includes advanced energy management systems to efficiently operate onboard appliances and can even skip charging stops when paired with an electric tow vehicle.

Evotrex was founded by a team with experience in power technology and electric vehicles, including former leaders from Anker, Geely Group, Lenovo, IBM, and Rivian.
