Escape Campervans, a North American campervan rental company, has ended operations after nearly 20 years and more than 600 vans on the road.
According to a press release, the company offered Mavericks, Mesas, Del Mars, Santa Cruz conversions, and Jeep rentals, supporting national park loops, Pacific Coast Highway trips, and cross-country travel.
“There is news amid the goodbye,” the Escape team said in a letter on escapecampervans.com. “We have campervans for sale — and nothing would make us happier than seeing them begin their next chapter with the community that used them.”
About 400 campervans from the remaining fleet are available to the public through weekly online auctions and “Buy It Now” listings on bidadoo, in partnership with Hilco Global Capital Solutions.
The fleet includes all five models—Mavericks, Mesas, Santa Cruz, Jeeps, and AWD Del Mar—with some featuring hand-painted artwork or removable vinyl wraps and optional rooftop sleepers.
All vans are late-model with low to moderate mileage and come with inspection reports. Auctions are held weekly on Tuesdays with most lots at no reserve, and new inventory is added regularly.

This dispersal of campervans provides new inventory for the RV market, allowing dealerships, rental operators, and individual buyers to expand access to campervan-based travel.
