Dicor Introduces RVTI Certified Training Classes for RV Technicians

Dicor Products, a brand under AIRXCEL®, has announced the launch of a new technical training program focused on RV roof installation.

The program is officially recognized by the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and is designed to support RV technicians and service centers seeking advanced education and certification in the proper installation of Dicor roof systems.

The Dicor Roof Installation Technical Training is a two-hour course classified as Level 3 RVTI Certified.

It offers participants detailed instructions on each phase of the roof installation process, including the necessary tools and materials, surface preparation techniques such as cleaning and assessment, and safe removal of existing roofing components.

“This course covers every step of the installation process, including membrane application, adhesive use, and seam sealing,” said Tracey Viburg, Airxcel Director of Customer Service.

“Airxcel has maintained a commitment to offer educational opportunities for RV industry professionals, and this class offering from Dicor joins other classes for Suburban, Aqua-Hot, and Coleman-Mach, ensuring that RV techs and service centers can take care of their customers’ needs.”

The training program also addresses more advanced aspects of roof work. Attendees will gain knowledge in reinstalling roof fixtures such as vents, antennas, and air conditioning units.

The course additionally covers professional repair techniques and preventative maintenance strategies aimed at increasing roof longevity and minimizing leak risks.

Classes will be held virtually at 1 p.m. Central Time on July 9, July 23, August 6, and August 20. RV technicians and service professionals can register through Airxcel’s Product Training page.

Dicor Products has been supplying component products to the RV manufacturing sector since 1984. It is particularly recognized for its line of roofing products and is also active in the RV aftermarket with a range of roof repair and care offerings.

Airxcel, the parent company, operates 17 brands across 14 facilities in the U.S. and Europe and serves as a key supplier of essential RV components.
