Care Camps Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to funding pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada, will be spotlighted on Designing Spaces, an “award-winning home improvement show” on Lifetime TV.
In a special episode of Designing Spaces of Hope, Camp Boggy Creek, one of the many camps supported by Care Camps Foundation, will receive an upgrade to its archery field. The episode highlights Care Camps Foundation’s role as a national charity providing funding for these specialized camps, which offer children living with cancer a place for healing and recreation.
The special episode featuring Care Camps Foundation on Designing Spaces of Hope will air on Wednesday, September 18, at 7:30 a.m. EST and PST, with a second airing on Wednesday, September 25.
In 2023 alone, Care Camps provided $2 million in funding, benefitting more than 41,000 children and family members affected by cancer. “Our hope is more people become aware of and engage with our mission so more children and families navigating a cancer journey can receive the healing benefits that pediatric oncology camps offer,” said Gwynn Sullivan, Care Camps Foundation executive director.
“The generosity that came forward to support this special opportunity is extraordinary,” added Sullivan.
Camp Boggy Creek’s archery field upgrade is just one example of how Care Camps Foundation enhances the quality of life for children battling cancer. The episode aims to raise awareness of the foundation’s ongoing efforts and inspire more viewers to support the cause. Viewers will also learn about the broader impact of Care Camps Foundation, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
“Just a few dollars can go a long way to give more joy, hope, and the healing power of the outdoors to children living with cancer and their families,” Sullivan noted,
