Ross Hill RV Park in Lisbon, Connecticut, has introduced a series of property upgrades aimed at enhancing guest experience, highlighted by the long-anticipated reopening of its adult recreation space.
The changes follow a May 1, 2024, ownership transition and reflect an effort to restore the park’s community atmosphere while meeting the growing demand for family-focused amenities.
Located in southeastern Connecticut, Ross Hill RV Park now features upgraded infrastructure, new recreation areas, and improvements designed to promote safety and comfort.
Among the key updates is the conversion of the Safari Loop into all-new seasonal sites, part of a broader strategy to support longer-term stays and respond to shifting guest preferences.
The property has undergone a significant cleanup, with the removal of outdated or underused items to open up common areas and reduce safety hazards.
To improve comfort during group events, two new HVAC units were installed at the main pavilion.
One of the most visible changes is the installation of two new playgrounds, introduced in response to guest feedback. The playgrounds were prioritized to support the increasing number of families staying at the park and to provide younger guests with modern, safe, and engaging spaces.
“These upgrades are all about bringing new life into Ross Hill and responding to what our guests have told us they value,” Alan Edmondson, chief facilities officer, said in a press release.
“We’re creating a space where the entire family — kids and adults — can enjoy time together or find their own fun,” Edmondson added.
The adult recreation space, closed since before the COVID-19 pandemic, is reopening with new amenities, including a pool table. Its return signals a renewed focus on community gathering spaces that appeal to older guests while complementing the park’s broader upgrades.
Ross Hill RV Park offers 221 sites and is known for its riverfront views and grounds.
