Heartland Parks has rebranded the former Canyon Club Event Center as The Overlook at Glenwood Canyon Resort, elevating the venue’s identity and guest experience along the Colorado River.
The move reflects the company’s strategy to unify its resort portfolio under a guest-centric, outdoor hospitality vision. The announcement highlights the venue’s combination of scenic event spaces, on-site lodging, and access to recreational activities.
Located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, The Overlook offers both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for weddings, reunions, corporate retreats, and milestone celebrations.
The centerpiece is a grand indoor “Great Room” with high ceilings, wood accents, sliding glass doors, and seating for roughly 125 guests.
An expansive outdoor terrace overlooks the river, providing space for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions under the stars.
Couples can also choose a riverside ceremony just steps from the Colorado River, set against a mountain backdrop.
Guests attending events can stay on-site with lodging options that include fully furnished resort and family cabins, luxury suites, glamping tents, and RV and tent sites.
The accommodations allow multi-day gatherings without off-site travel, supporting a seamless experience for groups of all sizes.
Glamping and camper cabins offer a nature-immersed stay while maintaining modern comforts, while full-hookup RV sites provide convenience along the river or among the trees.
The resort emphasizes outdoor adventure alongside hospitality. Visitors can enjoy rafting, hiking, and mountain biking, with additional attractions nearby including Glenwood Springs’ hot springs and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Its location at 1308 County Road 129 places guests minutes from downtown amenities and the cultural hubs of the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.
