Aqua-Hot Heating Systems, an Airxcel company known for luxury hydronic heating in recreational vehicles, introduced its new Aqua-Hot 175 Series at Airxcel’s 2025 New Product Showcase.
Designed for Class B campervans and overland RVs, the 175 Series offers compact, durable, and efficient heating and hot water performance for travelers seeking off-grid capability.
Aqua-Hot described the 175 Series as a continuation of its legacy of comfort and innovation, combining high-end heating technology with rugged construction for outdoor adventurers. The system is engineered for reliability in demanding environments while maintaining the comfort and convenience expected in modern RVs.
“For decades, Aqua-Hot has led the way in innovation and luxury with our hydronic heating systems,” Selma Salihagic, general manager of Aqua-Hot, said in a press release.
“The 175 Series builds on that tradition by combining high-end comfort with rugged, off-road durability. It’s designed to deliver reliable performance and exceptional comfort for those who seek off-road adventure,” Salihagic added.
The Aqua-Hot 175 Series includes key performance features aimed at versatility and endurance.
Built with military-grade brass fittings and a high-altitude-ready Espar burner, the system operates effectively up to 10,000 feet, providing continuous hot water and consistent interior heating in a variety of conditions.
True to its off-grid design, the 175 Series runs directly from the vehicle’s existing fuel system—either diesel or gasoline—without the need for separate tanks. This allows extended operation in remote settings, giving RV owners the flexibility to travel farther with fewer refueling concerns.
The unit produces continuous hot water between 110 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit at one gallon per minute and includes three independent heating zones to reduce cold spots. Each zone uses heat exchangers that can be installed either vertically or horizontally to fit various vehicle configurations.
Aqua-Hot also integrated an advanced Espar burner that automatically adjusts the fuel-to-oxygen mix for clean combustion, minimizing soot buildup and maintenance needs. The system’s “Night Mode” feature lowers fan speed for quieter operation, ensuring comfort without disruption.
Dual power options further enhance usability, as the 175 Series operates on both vehicle fuel and 120-volt shore power. This flexibility allows owners to choose the most efficient power source depending on camping conditions.
Compact design was a major consideration in development. The all-in-one hydronic system measures 11.5 inches high, 7.5 inches wide, and 17.66 inches deep, allowing for simplified installation while saving valuable space inside smaller RVs and campervans.
Noise reduction was another focus. The system’s exterior combustion unit features an integrated muffler, reducing sound output during operation. Additionally, an LCD controller offers diagnostic capabilities and allows users to manage multiple heating zones independently.
