Camping World Holdings, Inc. has reported that its Coleman brand is currently the top-selling travel trailer in the United States by unit volume through February 2025, according to data from Statistical Surveys, Inc.
The development is part of a broader trend showing strengthened new and used market share for the company, which operates as the largest retailer of recreational vehicles globally.
For stakeholders in the RV sectors, the performance of the Coleman brand offers insight into evolving consumer preferences and market positioning within the travel trailer segment.
Coleman’s position as the most traded-in and most sold used unit suggests both a high volume of customer adoption and a strong aftermarket demand, factors that can influence inventory planning and resale strategies for park owners, rental operators, and dealers.
According to a press release, Camping World attributes this growth to its contract manufacturing strategy, which allows the company to work closely with manufacturing partners to align product offerings with consumer expectations.
“Our contract manufacturing strategy continues to drive our growth in market share,” said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World.
“Coleman is the #1 selling travel trailer in America year-to-date through February, and the Coleman portfolio represents our most traded-in unit and our most sold used unit, all contributing to our record year-to-date new and used combined unit market share.”
The trailers’ prevalence in both new and used markets could influence demand for hookups, storage, and maintenance facilities, particularly as more guests arrive with models from the Coleman lineup.
“Our lineups give us the ability to work directly with our manufacturing partners to ensure we are meeting the customer where they want to be in terms of both price and payment,” Lemonis added.
This focus on affordability and accessibility may also lead to increased entry-level RV ownership, potentially expanding the base of RV travelers seeking destinations across North America.
As industry professionals navigate a landscape marked by shifting economic conditions and changing consumer behaviors, Camping World’s latest data may help inform procurement, marketing, and guest service strategies, particularly for businesses looking to capitalize on growing RV ownership trends heading into the 2025 season.
