Care Camps Foundation recognized the top fundraisers of the 2025 RV Dealers Association (RVDA) Compete for Kids campaign during the RV Dealers Convention in Las Vegas.
The annual campaign unites RV dealerships across the United States to support children with cancer through the healing power of camp.
This year’s Compete for Kids campaign encouraged dealerships to raise funds in creative ways throughout September.
Designed for flexibility, participants could tailor their fundraising activities to fit their operations while contributing to Care Camps Foundation’s mission of helping children experience medically supervised outdoor adventures.
Leading the 2025 fundraising efforts was Long View RV Superstores of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, which raised the highest total donations for Care Camps Foundation. The dealership’s commitment to community giving set a strong example for others in the industry.
Coming in second was Setzer’s World of Camping in Huntington, West Virginia. The dealership was recognized for its generosity and active support of Care Camps’ mission to bring joy and healing to children battling cancer.
In third place, Hilltop Camper & RV of Fridley, Minnesota, earned recognition for its meaningful contribution to the campaign. The dealership’s involvement will help fund life-changing camp experiences for children and families impacted by cancer.
“This campaign is an incredible example of the RV industry coming together for a common purpose,” Jenna Berneck, development director of Care Camps Foundation, said in a press release.
“The creativity, enthusiasm, and heart shown by the participating dealerships have made a real difference for the kids and families we serve,” Berneck added.
The Compete for Kids campaign was established in partnership with the RV Dealers Association (RVDA) as part of a broader effort to unite the RV industry in charitable giving and community engagement.
According to Phil Ingrassia, RVDA President, the initiative demonstrates how RV dealerships can balance business success with community impact.
“The Compete for Kids campaign highlights the generosity and community spirit that define the RV industry,” he said. “Dealers are showing that success in business can go hand in hand with making a positive impact for children battling cancer.”
Beyond fundraising, the campaign reflects a growing trend among RV dealerships to engage in purpose-driven initiatives that align with outdoor values and family-oriented experiences.
The foundation partners with the Children’s Oncology Camping Association (COCA), which oversees the quality and professional development standards for the camps it funds. Through these partnerships, Care Camps ensures that each dollar raised contributes to safe, enriching experiences for children and their families.
The RV Dealers Association is the only national association dedicated to advancing RV retailers’ interests through education, member services, and advocacy. RVDA plays a central role in industry leadership, dealer-manufacturer relations, and the national Go RVing campaign.
