The landscape of outdoor hospitality is shifting faster than ever, and a new weekly series aims to help campground owners keep pace. CampVantage Live, hosted by Insider Perks Founder & CEO Brian Searl, premiered this week, offering a dedicated forum for industry professionals to explore the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence.
The inaugural episode, which aired November 25, focused heavily on the transition from simple chatbots to autonomous “AI Agents,” the release of powerful new models like Google’s Gemini 3.0, and practical applications for campground operations.
From Chatbots to Agents
Searl opened the broadcast by framing the current moment as a pivotal turning point in technology. While 2024 was defined by generative AI that could write text or create images, 2025 is ushering in the era of agents—AI systems capable of executing complex, multi-step workflows without constant human supervision.
“The difference between a chatbot and an agent is that a chatbot can talk to you back and forth,” Searl explained during the livestream. “An agent can actually perform tasks. They can read your email, respond to your email, look at video, edit video, and access a CRM like HubSpot.”
The episode highlighted the release of Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.5 and Google’s Gemini 3.0, both of which are designed to power these autonomous workers.
For campground owners, the implication is that software could soon handle tedious administrative duties—such as analyzing years of guest reviews to determine sentiment or flagging maintenance issues directly in a property management system (PMS)—automatically.
Industry Integrations and Revenue Management
The premiere also touched on how major industry players are already embedding these technologies. Searl noted the recent launch of AI-driven occupancy forecasting tools by Campspot, a reservation software provider.
Mike Harrison, COO of CRR Hospitality and operator of Verde Ranch RV Resort, joined the broadcast to discuss the practical impact of these tools.
“It’ll take a look at your history, what you have on the books, and the pace, and it’ll make recommendations based on what your patterns have been,” Harrison said of the new Campspot features. He described it as a critical first step toward more sophisticated revenue management.
“That’s definitely a big need in the industry,” Searl agreed. “To figure out revenue management, ADR, and how to use [those] to forecast.”
The Future of Search and Branding
Beyond operations, the episode demonstrated how AI is reshaping marketing and guest acquisition.
Searl showcased “Nano Banana,” a colloquial name for Google’s new image generation model, and “Pomelli,” a branding tool from Google DeepMind.
In a live demo, the tool analyzed the Verde Ranch RV Resort website and instantly generated a comprehensive brand kit, including color palettes, tone of voice guidelines, and social media assets.
Searl warned that as search engines like Google move toward “AI-organized” results pages in 2026, the traditional list of ten blue links will likely disappear. This shift makes it imperative for business owners to understand how their brand is perceived and summarized by AI models.
A Call for Participation
CampVantage Live is designed to be interactive, with Searl encouraging “peer-to-peer learning” over a lecture format. The series plans to feature open discussions where operators can share their wins and struggles with technology.
“The one thing you’ll see consistently as we have these calls is the speed at which this stuff is moving,” Searl told viewers. “You really should pay as close of attention as you possibly can.”
CampVantage Live airs weekly, with a brief hiatus planned for the holiday season before resuming a full schedule in 2026.
