Campground operators utilizing automation and analytics saw significant gains in revenue and efficiency during the 2025 season, according to a year-end report from Campspot.
The data indicates a performance gap between tech-enabled parks and those relying on manual processes as the industry prepares for the 2026 season.
The report, which analyzed 3.7 million reservations and 54 million site nights across North America, found that campgrounds using dynamic pricing earned 70% more revenue on average than those without the feature.
Parks leveraging specialized analytics tools generated nearly 62% more revenue than their peers.
“Campground operators are surrounded by more data than ever, but data alone doesn’t drive results,” Jenna Terenzi, senior director of marketing at Campspot, said in a press release.
“What we’re seeing in this year’s data is that the most successful campgrounds are using technology to turn insight into action—automating routine work, pricing more strategically, and freeing up their teams to focus on the guest experience,” Terenzi added.
Operational efficiency was a primary driver for these results. Automation tools, including grid optimization, mobile check-in and digital guest communications, saved thousands of staff hours for platform users.
Marketplace exposure also played a role in expansion. More than 127,000 new campers were introduced to campgrounds via the platform in 2025. Nearly three-quarters of those individuals booked stays at locations where they had never stayed before.
Platform-driven revenue totaled $89.6 million for the year. This figure was generated through tools such as add-on purchases, and site selection features.
Terenzi said the focus for the upcoming season is “intelligence in motion,” referring to the use of data to automatically capture revenue opportunities while scaling teams without increasing staff burnout.
“As operators plan for the 2026 season amid ongoing staffing challenges and rising guest expectations, Campspot’s data points to a clear advantage for campgrounds that embrace intelligent automation,” the company announces.
“New capabilities, including AI-powered occupancy prediction and pricing recommendations, are helping operators move beyond reporting and into real-time decision-making,” the company adds.
Campspot currently provides software to more than 3,500 private and public parks across the United States and Canada.
