Campground Views reported that its virtual tour platform reached 928,000 views in July, resulting in more than 15,000 hours of watch time over the course of the month.
The data highlights a growing demand for visual trip-planning tools among campers and RV travelers.
Each tour averaged about one minute of viewing time, translating to a total of 15,467 hours in 31 days.
The company’s immersive platform also generated nearly 55,000 direct clicks to campground reservation engines.
“Even we were shocked when we did the math,” said Mark Koep, founder and CEO of Campground Views.
“Fifteen thousand hours? That’s 644 days of people actively watching our campground content. It shows how important visual planning is to campers and how much value our technology delivers to both travelers and park operators,” Koep said in a press release.
Campground Views offers a proprietary virtual tour system that allows users to visually explore campground layouts, individual sites, and amenities before booking. The platform currently hosts more than 3,500 tours, spanning public and private outdoor destinations across the United States.
The company has positioned itself as a key player in the shift toward visual-first decision-making in the outdoor recreation industry.
“This milestone is also a nod to our incredibly hardworking team,” said Koep. “Behind every one of those views is a developer, a videographer, a customer support member, and a park partner who helped make it happen. It’s proof that the work we’re doing matters and that people are using it in big ways.”
The virtual tour tool has become increasingly relevant as more campgrounds and public land agencies seek to provide prospective guests with transparent and accessible previews of available accommodations.
For RV park and campground operators, the ability to showcase sites visually may contribute to increased guest confidence and booking conversions, the press release adds.
