Lazydays Holdings and Campers Inn Holding have entered into a letter of intent for Campers Inn RV or its affiliate to acquire substantially all assets of Lazydays and its subsidiaries. The companies announced the agreement, which marks a significant consolidation move within the RV dealership sector.
The transaction would expand Campers Inn RV’s nationwide presence to 48 dealership locations across 22 states.
Campers Inn, the largest family-operated RV dealership group in the country, said the final closing is targeted before Thanksgiving and no later than Dec. 1.
Following the closing, Campers Inn RV plans to continue operations at Lazydays’ dealerships in Tucson, Ariz.; Johnstown, Colo.; Seffner, Fla.; Knoxville, Tenn.; and St. George, Utah.
The company is still evaluating whether to maintain other Lazydays locations.
According to a press release, Ron Fleming, CEO of Lazydays, said, “Throughout our 49-year history, Lazydays has played a leading role in the RV industry, recognized for giving our customers a great sales and service experience, and being pivotal to their RV adventures.”
He emphasized the company’s core values, noting confidence that Campers Inn RV will continue them with customers, employees, and partners.
If completed, the acquisition would mark Campers Inn RV’s first entry into Tennessee, Colorado, and Utah. The flagship Seffner, Fla., dealership near Tampa will continue operations under the name “Lazydays by Campers Inn RV.”
Plans for the site include growth through customer rallies, expanded services, and enhanced customer experiences.
Jeff Hirsch, CEO of Campers Inn RV, also said, “The potential acquisition of Lazydays is more than a business decision; it’s a reflection of our shared values and a continuation of the traditions that have guided Campers Inn RV since our founding nearly 60 years ago.”
He highlighted both companies’ shared commitment to dignity, respect, and care.
Hirsch added that bringing the two dealership groups together would provide long-term stability while preserving the culture of service.
“Customers will be able to expect the same dedication, care, and support they have always known, while employees will find new opportunities to grow in a company that values people first,” he said.
Ben Hirsch, COO of Campers Inn RV, also underscored the significance of the acquisition. “The Lazydays story is truly a great one in our industry, and one that we are excited for the chance to continue for decades to come,” he said.
He noted that Lazydays’ 129-acre Tampa location, the largest single-point RV dealership in the world, presents unique opportunities for expansion.
Campers Inn RV, founded in 1966, remains family owned and has been pursuing steady expansion. The company is preparing to open additional locations in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Milford, Mass.; and Washington, Pa. Executives expect the group to surpass 50 dealerships in 2026.
Lazydays, established in 1976, has been a prominent dealership brand for nearly five decades. The company has built its reputation on RV sales, service, and customer support, with facilities offering a wide range of vehicles, parts, and accessories.
